PROFESSIONAL BELLYDANCER
BIO
Kevla’s dance education began when she was 5 years old, with years of extensive study in ballet, jazz, and modern. Bringing this background to her love of Middle Eastern dance gives her a versatility and dedication to be reckoned with. She has been performing as a professional soloist in bellydance since 2014, and prior to that with professional troupes.
Kevla is fully Covid vaccinated, with four shots of Moderna.
Training and Qualifications:

Completed the Diversities of the Middle East Summer Seminar put on by the Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies (August 2020)

Completed level two of Journey through Egypt, an overview course on the movement and cultural diffusion in the different regions of Egypt (February 2019)

Twice completed Aziza's Dreamcamp, a week-long intensive (July 2015 and Feb 2018)

Second place winner, Professional Fusion Soloist, at the international Yaa Halla Y'all Bellydance Star Competition (August 2016)

Member of Dance Manitoba

Regularly attends local and international workshops with renowned instructors, such as Aziza, Amanda Rose, Melissa Gamal, Ranya Renee, Vanessa of Cairo, and many more.
